About me
Thanks for visiting my site. Through my design studies at Stanford and work at early-stage startups, I believe that empathetic design bridges the gap between revolutionary technologies and their realized impact. In other words, an LLM is only as powerful as the ways we interact with it. While it's crucial that design work resolves pain points, I have found additional drive when designing products that inspire joy.
Why Bonnom?
Design Philosophy: Keeping a Good Name
Design is an expression of empathy. I believe that we can remind ourselves of our good names by staying remarkably close to our users. In Stanford’s product design program, my first project required us to design for someone besides ourselves; even when I have felt similar to my end user, I've strived to maintain this framework in my design work through empathetic design
Today, I help bring a human-centered design expertise to design and engineering teams through UX research, product design, and creative storytelling.
You can reach me at spencer (at) tresbonnom.com. I'm always chatting with founders and teams about how I can help out and think through product design problems. If you have any additional questions about my work or just want to chat design please feel free to reach out for a virtual meeting or a coffee in NYC :)
For full-time work opportunities, please reach out if you'd like to see my resume or have any questions about my time at Stanford.
